Holistic Yoga

Illustration of a person performing Vriksasana, also known as Tree Pose, from a yoga book. The figure is standing on one leg beside a tree, with hands raised above the head. Background shows outdoor foliage.

In keeping with the Devon School of Yoga's approach and values, Holistic Yoga follows a traditional authentic approach to the practice. It is an embodied practice which encompasses the whole person; addressing mind, body and spirit through a variety of practices.

Rooted in the ancient Eastern philosophy, classes will involve a mixture of gentle dynamic postures, traditional static postures, breath work (prānāyāma), and deep relaxation.

My personal approach to Holistic Yoga is to restore balance within and to connect with the cycles of nature. In addition to drawing from traditional Eastern practices, I will also draw on seasonal energies, incorporating these into the practice.
